Twelve songs will compete in the final of Melodifestivalen, with the top two qualifiers of each previous heat, as well as the two qualifiers from the Final Qual round of last week. According to odds and community discourse, this is shaping up to be a battle between Måns Zelmerlöw’s “Revolution” and KAJ’s “Bara bada bastu” for the win.

In terms of interval acts, 2024 runner-up Medina will perform a special version of “Genom Eld Och Vatten”, a Melodifestivalen 2003 hit by Sarek, which will be inducted into the Melodifestivalen Hall of Fame on the same evening.

After using televote only in its heats, Melodifestivalen will add international juries to the final, for a classic 50/50 split.

Eight international juries will give points in the Eurovision scale, 1-to-8-10-12. For the public, app votes will be divided into seven age groups, which will give points in the same way. An eighth group of public votes will come from those who vote using phone calls instead of the app.

The winner will be determined by a jury vote only, SM RTV having been unable to set up a televote for this edition.

The jurors will be:

  • Luca De Gennaro (DJ)
  • Roberto Sergio (Director of SMRTV)
  • Federica Gentile (TV and radio hosts)
  • Ema Stockholma (singer-songwriter)
  • Mario Andrea Ettore (Marketing manager at SIAE, the Italien Society of Authors and Editors)

Along with the winner, the jury will also award special prizes to different entries, similar to the Sanremo Festival special prizes/awards like the Mia Martini Award of Critics.

22:05 CET, until 01:45 CET approximately

  • Online on RTP1
  • Physically, at the RTP studios, Lisbon

Twelve acts will perform in this grand final, in the following running order.

  1. Bombazine – “Apago tudo
  2. Margarida Campelo – “Eu sei que o amor
  3. Henka – “I Wanna Destroy U
  4. Bluay – “Ninguém

  9. Fernando Daniel – “Medo
  10. Emmy Curl – “Rapsódia da Paz
  11. Josh – “Tristeza
  12. Diana Vilarinho – “Cotovia

Filomena Cautela will host the Final, along with Vasco Palmeirim. Filomena was also one of the host of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon.

As in previous years, RTP will use a 50/50 split of televoting and regional juries (from Portugal’s seven regions) to determine the final rankings of the Festival.

The song with the most jury points will earn 12 points, the runner-up 10 points, then 8, 7, 6…etc. on the Eurovision scale. The same will apply to the televote. With a system that scales down the final points to two ESC style scores, the potential for a tie for first place is strong. In this case, the song with the most televote points would win.
