The actor Ncuti Gatwa, famous for his roles as the Doctor in Doctor Who and Eric Effiong in Sex Education, will be announcing the UK jury’s points during the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Ncuti Gatwa will follow in the footsteps of many other famous spokespersons the UK has had, such as Joanna Lumley, Catherine Tate and Nigella Lawson, on Saturday May 17th.
On May 17th a special Eurovision themed episode of Doctor Who will be aired called ‘The Interstellar Song Contest’. During the episode the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) will travel to the 803rd Interstellar Song Contest, where planets from across the universe will compete to win this contest. The Interstellar Song Contest is co-hosted by Ryland and of course Mr Eurovision, Graham Norton will also make an appearance.
