After a competitive national selection, Sofia Nersesian will represent Ukraine at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 to be held in Tbilisi, Georgia on December 13 with ‘Motanka’.
🇺🇦 Sofia Nersesian selected for JESC 2025
During the national final, six artists took part, all hoping to win the ticket to represent Ukraine at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025. However, it was 10-year-old Sofia Nersesian that became the overall winner with, ‘Motanka’. Sofia hails from Kyiv and is of both Ukrainian and Armenian heritage. The winner was decided through a combined score of 50/50 jury and public voting. The results are as follows below:

Ukraine in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Back in 2006, the Eastern European nation made their debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Since then they have never missed a contest. Their best result came in 2012 with their only victory for Anastasiya Petryk with, ‘Nebo’.
Last year, Ukraine selected national final winner, Artem Kotenko to represent the country with ‘Hear Me Now’. During the Madrid contest, Artem achieved third place with 203 points. Their best result since 2013 and fourth time overall on the Junior Eurovision podium.
