Andrea wins Za Evrosong 2022 with “Circles”

This is North Macedonia's first publicly-selected entry since 2015

North Macedonia has become the latest country to confirm their entry for Eurovision 2022. Andrea will be bringing “Circles” to Turin in May. This is North Macedonia’s first publicly-selected entry since 2015.

Last Friday, MRT released the six songs in contention to represent North Macedonia in Turin. Like the Czech Republic’s ESCZ, the release was accompanied by the launch of an online voting platform. The voting window was one week from the release of the songs – from 28th January at 22:00 CET until today (4th February).

Public votes accounted for half of the final result, and the other half was obtained from the votes of an international expert jury. The votes from the online voting and the votes of the international expert jury were converted into points, according to the Eurovision voting principle (50:50).

The winner was announced live during a special broadcast on Stisni Play.

The entries in contention were as follows:

  1. Kaly – Love and Light
  2. Yon Idy – Dreams
  3. LARA – Flower of Sorrow
  4. Viktor Apostolovski – Superman
  5. Andrea – Circles
  6. Ris Flower – Flying To Berlin
