20 artists who advanced to the next stage in Lithuanian national selection has been allocated to their semi finals. The first semi-final will be broadcasted on the 4th of February and the second semi will happen on the 11th. From 10 artists performing in the semi, 5 will advance to the finals on 18th of February.
Two big favorites from the first round – Rūta Mur, who won the first heat, and Beatrich, who won the second one, remain split from each other and won’t meet until the final.
Overall there is not a lot of mixing of the artists, since 8 artists who performed in the first heat will perform in the first semi-final.

The Grand Final is set for February 18, where the Lithuanian representative for Eurovision 2023 will be chosen.
Lithuania in the Eurovision Song Contest
Back in 1994 Lithuania made their Eurovision debut in Dublin with Ovidijus Vyšniauskas and his entry, ‘Lopšinė mylimai‘, which placed 25th and last with the dreaded nil points. After a brief hiatus and sporadic appearances for the next decade, Lithuania have participated in every contest since 2004. Their best result came in 2006 with the entry, ‘We Are The Winners‘ by LT United. Despite not actually winning, the group achieved sixth place with 162 and remain a novelty classic.
Last year the Lithuanian public chose Monika Liu and ‘Sentimentai’ through Pabandom iš naujo 2022. During the Turin contest she qualified for the Grand Final and placed 14th with 128 points.
