ESCXTRA are live from Lisbon for day 6 of rehearsals ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018! The countries rehearsing today, in chronological order, are Armenia, Switzerland, Ireland, Cyprus, Norway, Romania, Serbia, San Marino, Denmark, Portugal, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Italy and France. (Yes, we know, it’s a long one…)

The latest artist to rehearse for the second time is Alexander Rybak for Norway. We have just watched their latest run through of That’s How You Write a Song live on screen and here is our initial reaction.

Staging

No noticeable changes today for Norway, who already decided that their performance would replicate the performance from Melodi Grand Prix. He does kick the football today with the augmented reality graphics. There are still a few odd camera angles but they will fix these in plenty of time.

Vocal

You already know that Alexander Rybak has delivered an extremely competent and composed vocal performance! Nothing unexpected here!

Costume

The outfit is unchanged and resembles the same outfit from the first rehearsal – a blue jacket (he has stolen my coat) and a very very dark top… navy with black details.
