As we are getting closer to Rotterdam, we are starting to obtain more information as to how some of the acts will be staging their performances in May. Switzerland has announced that Sacha Jean Baptiste will be the Creative Director for Gjon’s performance in Rotterdam.
Experience under her belt
Sacha Jean Baptiste is no stranger to the contest. She has been involved in Switzerland’s 2019 entry ‘She Got Me’ which placed 4th in Tel Aviv. She has also worked with Jessica Mauboy with her staging for ‘We Got Love‘, Equinox’s entry ‘Bones‘ and Tamta’s ‘Replay‘.
One of Sacha’s well-known performances was in 2018, where she worked on Eleni Foureira’s staging for ‘Fuego’ which lit up the stage in Lisbon. Cyprus’s 2018 entry managed to place 2nd behind Netta.
Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019
In 2019, Switzerland internally selected Luca Hänni to represent them in Tel Aviv with his song ‘She Got Me‘. The song was co-written by Luca himself along with Laurell Barker, Frazer Mac, Jon Hällgren and Lukas Hällgren.
Switzerland participated at the Second-Semi-Final and Luca managed to qualify for the Grand Final, giving Switzerland it’s first Grand Final appearance since 2014. Luca managed to finish fourth overall with 364 Points.
