New Music Friday brings with it a music comeback from Poli Genova as the Bulgarian star releases new single ‘How We End Up’

How We End Up

After taking time away from music for the birth of her son, Poli Genova is back and better than ever! Today she releases her latest single ‘How We End Up’. The last new music we had from Poli was the sizzling summer banger ‘Perfect Love‘. However that love has now faded in the story of ‘How We End Up’, a bass boosting summer heartbreak anthem. The song is written by Romy Dya; most famously credited on the Martin Garrix and David Guetta track ‘So Far Away.’ It is also produced by one of the leading names in the Balkans, Boban Apostolov. Otherwise know as naBBoo, he has worked with Poli before on Perfect Love. As well as recording Kanita’s FiK 2019 entry ‘Ankth‘ and Chimène Badi’s Destination Eurovision 2018 entry ‘La Haut.’ Watch Poli and her dancers in the music video below!

Poli Genova in the Eurovision Song Contest

Back in 2011 Poli Genova made her Eurovision debut with the Bulgarian rock ballad ‘Na Inat‘. Unfortunately it failed to make the Grand Final. Just missing out finishing 12th in Semi-Final 2 with 48 points. However she became a firm fan favourite following the contest. After Bulgaria’s hiatus from the contest Poli helped spearhead their comeback into a new Eurovision powerhouse. Firstly she hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Sofia. Then BNT announced her Eurovision return in 2016. With the party anthem ‘If Love Was A Crime’ Poli surprised everyone and secured Bulgaria’s first qualification since 2007. In the Grand Final she finished in 4th place with 307 points. This remains Bulgaria’s second best result behind Kristian Kostov’s ‘Beautiful Mess.’
