🇮🇹 Francesca Michielin releases new single “Cattive stelle”

Last week, Italy’s Eurovision star Francesca Michielin was back with a brand-new single in collaboration with Vasco Brondi. “Cattive stelle” follows a series of singles taken from 2020’s “Feat (stato di natura)” in which Francesca duetted with different musicians on each track.

Getting ready for Sanremo 2021

“Cattive stelle” was produced by Taketo Gohara and is a touching ballad. The single precedes Francesca’s upcoming participation in the 2021 Sanremo Music Festival in which she will perform “Chiamami per nome” alongside Fedez. This song was written by Francesca, Fedez and three other authors including Mahmood who represented Italy in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with “Soldi” placing second.

Francesca at Eurovision

Francesca Michielin represented Italy in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest with a revamped version of “Nessun grado di separazione” entitled “No Degree of Separation” for the international Eurovision audience. The former X Factor contestant earned the right to represent her nation after placing second in the 2016 Sanremo Music Festival. Winners of the festival, Stadio, rejected the invitation to represent Italy, thus RAI internally selected Francesca to take the ticket to Stockholm.
