Now that its confirmed that 41 countries will be competing at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, more countries are now revealing what their plans will be for the 2021 contest.
Today, LRT has opened the submissions for entries for the search of their entry for the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.
Submissions open until December 14
Interested participants will have until the 14th December to submit their entries. The working group working on the project, intends to reveal the successful participants on the 23rd December, with the shows planned to begin on the 16th January 2021.

Changes made to be kept for 2021
It was previously revealed, that changes were made to Lithuania’s 2020 selection. With the popularity of the selection, it’s been revealed that no changes will be made for the 2021 selection.
“Last year’s changes in the selection of the Eurovision entry paid off. Therefore there will be no cardinal innovations in this year’s selection rules, except for the circumstances related to the pandemic.

There will be six shows, as per 2020; potentially fewer, depending on the number of acts selected.
The Roop’s invited to compete
As we have previously reported, Lithuania’s Eurovision 2020 representatives The Roop has been invited to compete at the 2021 National Selection. At the time of writing, the group is yet to confirm if they will be appearing the competition or not.
Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest
Lithuania first entered the contest in 1994 with “Lopšinė mylimai” by Ovidijus Vyšniauskas. Last year in Tel Aviv, Jurijus Veklenko sang “Run With The Lions” and came 11th in Semi-final 2 with 93 points, narrowly missing out on the Grand final. This year in Rotterdam would have been the Baltic nation’s 21st Eurovision appearance, if the contest hadn’t been cancelled.
