Lara Fabian speaks out on Eurovision

Lara Fabian has spoken out on participation in the Eurovision Song Contest. She did so during an interview she had with OGAE Italy regarding her participation in the 2015 Sanremo Festival.
Fabian is one of the contestants in this year’s Sanremo. If she’d win the competition, she would be granted the right to represent Italy in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. However, as the first of the twenty competing acts, Lara Fabian has said she would turn down the offer if she would be asked.
She says she never wants to repeat certain events in her career. Let’s say Lara Fabian lives by the idea of ‘been there, done that’. And as she did Eurovision in 1988, she would now turn down the offer to represent Italy in Vienna. You can watch the full interview by clicking here.
Even though this news may seem interesting to those who were hoping for a comeback to Eurovision from Lara Fabian, the chance that she’d be ‘the chosen one’ for Italy already seemed tiny. On the first night, Lara Fabian finished in the bottom four, with reports claiming she finished ninth out of ten acts. It seems miracles must be worked in order for Lara Fabian to even get the chance to officially turn down Eurovision…
