Romania will be represented at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest by WRS with “Llámame”. Following the release of his new single “Lily”, he has released an EP titled Mandala, which features the revamped ‘Eurovision version’ of his entry for Turin.

Following his Selecția Națională 2022 victory, WRS has released a new EP, titled Mandala. Alongside the single “Lily”, the EP features the ‘Eurovision version’ of “Llámame”. The revamp features a more prominent dance beat, and a more prominent vocal.

Romania at Eurovision 2022

WRS won Romania’s national selection for Eurovision 2022 in early March. His song “Llámame” was the favourite of the five-member jury and finished second in the televote, with only 240 votes behind the televote winner. The 29-year-old singer has been nominated in Romanian music awards The Artist Awards twice and his music videos have been watched on YouTube over seven million times.

At the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, Romania hopes to qualify to the final for the first time since 2017. Last year the country was represented by ROXEN, who failed to qualify to the final with the song “Amnesia”. With Romania allocated to the second semi-final of the contest in Turin, WRS will perform 13th in the show on May 12.
