Boomdabash, Annalisa – ‘Tropicana’

Often where Italian stars are born, today two of Sanremo’s biggest success story’s unite. Previously Reggae band Boomdabash participated in 2018 with, ‘Per un milione.’ Meanwhile Annalisa has participated in italy’s famous music festival, no less than five times. Together they release the reggae-rave anthem, ‘Tropicana.’ A fun cocktail of air horns and the Amazon, as Annalisa shows us a very Baby K inspired side to her music.

Tropicana is an explosion of pure energy that aims to give joy, happiness, and only good vibes. We strongly believe in the universal language of music and in its power to cheer people up, very often it is a song that gets us distracted from the thousand problems that afflict our daily life, a song is able to make us feel good by making us, even if only for a moment, forget everything around us. It comes from our desire for summer that is in each of us, a song characterized by a strong dance dimension, a song that brings with it the hope of making us dance again, living every moment with a new and better awareness.

Sharing this new adventure with Annalisa, an artist we have respected for many years, is a source of great satisfaction for us. It is a piece that strongly and decisively confirms the desire to bring the Jamaican dancehall back into our musical production. It is what can almost be defined as dancehall 2.0, it is a club at night while it is still 30 degrees outside, it is unbridled dance, it is sweat and smiles.

Jamie-Lee – ‘oh oh’

Last but not least on New Music Friday is Germany’s Eurovision 2016 representative Jamie-Lee. No longer a ghost, the K-Pop enthusiast is all grown up on the heated new single, ‘oh oh’. Still inspired by South-East Asia, Jamie-Lee brings together high tempo electronics and bright neon colour scheme in a Schlager fusion twist. Showing a new maturity to her music, in making a dated genre feel modern, whilst paying tribute to the popular sound of Germany’s music history.
