Five songs for those who spend Valentine’s Day alone

It’s Valentine’s Day today! And not everyone is going to spend it with their favourite person in this entire world. Maybe because you don’t celebrate it? Or maybe you just haven’t found that special someone just yet? Here we have five songs for you to spend your Valentine’s Day on your own!

Be your own friend!

Some of us are alone by choice. But we all need a friend to celebrate with.  Tell yourself about the miracles that are bound to happen. Tell yourself it will all be right one day. It will be!

If you need a friend on Valentine’s Day, be like Jacques. Be your own friend.

Chase them down…

Now, we don’t recommend this one, but it certainly is a recurring theme on Valentine’s Day. What if your special someone turns you down? Try to win them over! Go have a coffee with your soon-to-be mother-in-law, no matter how much you dislike her. Walk that walk of shame, as long as you convince your idol.

And perhaps… you’ll get closer. Hang in there and go for it. Chase them down. Be like Krista.

A Valentine’s fight

Where some of us are alone by choice, others aren’t. Just imagine you bought your Valentine the most amazing gift ever to then come home to find him/her with someone else… Happy Valentine’s!

In such cases, all you can do is scream and demand to be left alone. Cry your heart out, smash a couple of plates. Tell that cheater goodbye. Be like Hanna.

Go online

You’re here reading this right now. On Valentine’s Day. Of course we could make plenty of jokes about this being Valentina’s day, but she has a good tip for those spending this day alone. Go online, chat with a couple of friends there and meet some new people! You don’t have to look them in the eye… And if you listen closely to what Valentina has to tell you about social networks, you might find some more tips in the song… but we’ll leave it up to you whether you’re going to do that!

If you want to feel the love, go online. Find yourself some friends there. Be like Valentina.

Don’t give a…

Perhaps the best option is just to not care for Valentine’s Day at all. Go out and have a good dance party like you’ve never had before. Or maybe you can just turn up the volume right at your own home, because don’t forget: The Roop did tell us that it was okay to dance alone, right at your home.

It’s more than okay to just make your life your own party within your own four walls. Turn up that Eurovision playlist and have a listen. Sing and dance along. Be like The Roop.
