Fahree feat. Ilkin Dovlatov release ‘Özünlə Apar’
Following a highly competitive internal selection, which featured Eurovision 2018 representative Aisel, Azerbaijan’s broadcaster Ictimai finally chose Fahree who will be joined on stage by Ilkin Dovlatov. The duo will perform the dual language entry, ‘Özünlə Apar’. This will be the first time Azerbaijan has sung in Azerbaijani at the contest. Of course, the language previously had a lyrical feature in Sofi Marinova’s iconic Eurovision entry, ‘Love Unlimited’ for Bulgaria in 2012.
Fahree grew up in Baku, Azerbaijan and had artistry woven into his DNA. His grandfather is a famed actor, while his father honed his talents playing jazz percussion. However, it was later in life that Fahree altered his career path from a Master’s degree in Law, to becoming a student of music and following his true passion as a singer.
Joining Fahree on stage will be Ilkin Dovlatov, who originally took part in the internal selection as part of a trio, but clearly made enough of an impression to also warrant a place in Eurovision 2024.
