The much-anticipated Melodifestivalen 2025 is set to take fans across Sweden as the popular music competition returns to familiar cities. The tour will kick off in Luleå on February 1, followed by stops in Gothenburg, Västerås, Malmö, and Jönköping, before concluding with the grand finale at the National Arena in Solna, Stockholm.
Luleå, which has hosted the event three times before, will welcome the first semifinal. Gothenburg, a frequent host, will stage the second semifinal on February 8. Västerås, hosting its first Melodifestivalen event in over 15 years, will be the backdrop for the third semifinal on February 15. This is a significant return for Västerås, as well as for Jönköping, which will host the fifth semifinal on March 1. Malmö will host the fourth semifinal on February 22.
In Västerås, excitement is building as the city gears up to host its part of the festivities. SVT took to the streets to capture the buzz among locals, many of whom eagerly shared their favorite Melodifestivalen songs. “Men gu’ vad kul!” exclaimed one Västerås resident, summing up the general enthusiasm for the upcoming event.
The grand finale will take place on March 8 at the National Arena in Solna, just north of Stockholm, where the winner of Melodifestivalen 2025 will be crowned.
