Following his recent victory in Pesma za Evroviziju ’25, the Serbian representative Princ has confirmed that his stage performance will be revamped in time for the Basel stage this May.
Princ to review staging and outfit plans for Basel
During an interview on Jedan dan the morning after Pesma za Evroviziju ’25 victory, Princ confirmed that he would consider updating his outfit and staging in time for the Basel contest.
“We will now have much more time to deal with the performance itself and the song and some other details. We will take everything we have done so far to a higher level, now the RTS team is also in the whole story. I think people will be breathless, but we are going step by step, we really have a lot of plans.”

As well as teasing changes before May, Princ also revealed more insight on the pressures and expectations Serbian fans had placed on his participation and entry. Princ revealed he wanted to show a more vulnerable side to his music in this moment.
People see me as a Eurovision singer. When we planned to work on a song this year, many expected it to be a fast song like the ones I have in my repertoire. However, I would go against myself and against what my soul is feeling at the moment. My idea was to bare myself in front of people, to give what I essentially am at that moment.
Serbia in the Eurovision Song Contest
After previously competing as part of one-time winning nation Yugoslavia, and then Serbia & Montenegro, Serbia made their debut as an independent nation in 2007. Marija Šerifović was selected as Serbia’s first Eurovision entrant, with, ‘Moltiva’. After winning the Semi-Final with 298 points, Serbia managed to win the whole contest, scoring 268 points in the Final.
Following a successful first year, Serbia placed 6th on home soil in 2008. However, in 2009, they failed to make the final for the first time. Since then, Serbia have managed one more top three placing – in 2012. Željko Joksimović, who had already been a Eurovision runner-up in 2004 for Serbia & Montenegro, finished 3rd with, ‘Nije ljubav stvar’.
Last year, following victory in Pesma za Evroviziju ’24, Teya Dora represented Serbia with, ‘Ramonda’. During the Final, she placed 17th with 54 points.
