Asja Džogović releases Montenegro’s JESC 2025 entry

Returning to the contest after 10 years, Montenegro will compete in Junior Eurovision later this year with “I Tužna i Srećna Priča”, sany by Asja Džogović.

On their return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025, Montenegrin broadcaster RTCG have internally selected Asja Džogović, a 13-year-old student of the Risto Ratković Elementary School. The announcement came in September, with the song released yesterday by the Montesong Youtube account.

Entitled “I tužna i srećna priča” (“Both a sad and a happy story”), the song is dedicated to children who grow up without parental care. It tells the story of a “dreamer” who walks in search of a home, dreaming of a roof, warmth and love.

The videoclip was filmed in a studio similar to the one used for Montenegro’s “senior” Eurovision song from 2025, “Dobrodošli”, which also touched on a serious social topic, that of domestic violence.

Montenegro previously participated at the Junior contest in 2014 and 2015, coming back after a hiatus of ten years, and announced their comeback earlier this summer. They return on top of their “senior” Eurovision return in 2025 (after an absence of just two years), and have also confirmed their participation in the 2026 senior contest, with a list of entrants already released for the national selection, Montesong.
