Today we bring you another six Eurovision birthdays to celebrate! No less than 50 years separate the oldest and youngest of todays birthday stars, and there are 40 years between the earliest and latest Eurovision participation! Their Eurovision results also vary a great deal, from non-qualification to top 10. One of them even has two top ten results; Al Bano!
Marinella, 80
Marinella represented Greece at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton. She performed the song “Krasi, Thalassa Kai T’ Agori Mou (Wine, sea and my boyfriend)” as the fifth entry of the night. At the end of the voting she had received seven points, thereby finishing 11th out of the 17 participants.
Al Bano, 75
Al Bano represented Italy in both the 1976 and 1985 Eurovision Song Contests, both times in duet with Romina Power. In The Hague in 1976 they performed the song “We’ll Live It All Again”. They finished seventh out of the 18 participating countries. In their second attempt, in Gothenburg in 1985, they sang “Magic Oh Magic”. Again they finished in 7th place, this time out of 19 entries.

Andreas Lundstedt, 46
Andreas represented Switzerland at the 2006 Eurovision Song contest in Athens. He did so as one of six members of the group Six4one. When the names of the group members were released, they quickly became one of the pre-contest favorites. However, in the grand final they only finished in a very disappointing 17th place, with Ralph Siegel’s song “If We All Give A Little”.
Andreas has also taken part in Melodifestivalen no less than eight times. Four of these participations came as part of the group Alcazar, the other four were solo attempts. Three out of the four attempts with Alcazar ended with 3rd places, while his most successful solo participation came when he finished 2nd in 1996 with “Driver dagg, faller regn“.
Juliana Pasha, 38
Juliana Pasha represented Albania at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. She performed the song “It’s All About You”, in the first semi-final, where she finished in sixth place. Due to this result she qualified to the grand final, where she only reached a somewhat disappointing 16th place. This was Juliana’s third attempt at representing her country at Eurovision. In 2007 she finished third in the national final with “Qielli i ri“, and the year after she finished third with “Një jetë” in duet with Luiz Ejlli.
Dilara Kazimova, 34
Dilara Kazimova represented Azerbaijan at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen. She performed the ballad “Start A Fire” in the first semi-final, where she finished 9th, thus just making it to the grand final. On the Saturday night she only finished in 22nd place. Dilara also tried out for Eurovision twice before. In 2008, her band Unformal finished second in the national selection. She finished second again in 2010, this time as part of the duo Milk & Kisses.
Robin Juhkental, 30
Robin, who is better known as the lead singer of the band Malcolm Lincoln, represented Estonia at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo. They performed their song “Siren” in the first semi-final, finishing 14th, thus failing to qualify for the grand final. They might be best remembered for the very creative music video, and the faining backing vocalist. (See if you can spot him!)
