Turin 2022

Live-On-Tape performances to be released from tomorrow

A small number of countries will not be included, EBU confirms

The EBU have announced that the live-on-tape performances, filmed as a back up prior to the acts travelling to Turin, will be released from tomorrow, Tuesday 14th June.

As last year, in the event that an act was unable to travel to Italy or needed to self isolate during the week of the contest, all participating countries were required to film a back up performance. Broadcasters were given the freedom to film a unique performance, fully regulated by the EBU.

Since the Grand Final took place like month, fans had speculated as to whether the live-on-tape performances for this year’s entries would actually be made available. The EBU have now confirmed that these will be published on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel from tomorrow, Tuesday 14th June.

A small number of broadcasters have declined the invitation to have their on-tape performance uploaded.
