“Toy” now most streamed song in history of Spotify Israel

Spotify launched in Israel last month and now named “Toy” by Netta the most streamed song on the service so far. This is another achievement for the favorite of the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon!

Since the release, “Toy” was streamed over 1.5M times worldwide. After the launch of the streaming service the last month, Israel streamed over 2.3 million hours of music. 39% of the streams came from Tel Aviv.

The Israeli entry is not just popular in Israel, but all over the world. For example, “Toy” made it to the Top 5 of the iTunes Charts in Spain and went viral with Uganda’s Spoon Youth. Moreover, the Israeli entry already achieved over 13 million views on the official Eurovision channel on YouTube.

Netta will represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon with her entry “Toy”. The last time Israel won the contest was in 1998. Will we go back to Israel after 20 years? We’ll have the answer in less than a month.

Hey, I'm Dominik from Germany. Watched my first Eurovision in 2003 and I was in love right away! Attended my first contest in 2011 and every contest since 2013. The same happened with Melodifestivalen. Started watching in 2006 and been to every final since 2017 and try to make it to at least one heat each year, too. After all, Melodifestivalen is the real deal ♥
