Daily Press Poll 2018: Results from day 8 of rehearsals

Day eight of rehearsals at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 has come to an end! We’ve seen the six automatic qualifiers take to the stage for the second time. As always, we have conducted the daily press poll to discover how members of the press rate today’s performances!

How it works

After the conclusion of today’s rehearsals, we asked 35 members of the press to rate today’s performances based on their rehearsals rather than by their favourite songs. To do this, each press member chose their top 3 performances and we allocated 5 points to their favourite, 3 points to their second favourite and 1 point to their third favourite.

Ryan Cobb

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!

Well, I am so disappointed.. The 35 “members” of the press laughed their a*ses off at arrows ‘n roses, but praised the chicken sounds, or cheesy songs like Spain’s or Cyprus. Just saying…
