Eleni Foureira in the Eurovision Song Contest
Before representing Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest, Eleni made attempts at representing Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest. One of her attempts was in 2010, where she participated in the Greek national final with Manos Pyrovolakis & Don’t Ask with Kivotos tou Noe and placed 2nd.
In 2018, Cyprus internally selected Eleni to represent them with the song ‘Fuego’. The song was a hit with Eurovision fans and viewers, as she managed to obtain 2nd place, which is Cyprus’s best result to date.
