🇫🇮 Yle reveals first pictures of UMK21 stage

Futuristic stage for no-audience show

Finland’s broadcaster Yle has published the first pictures of the stage for their Eurovision 2021 national selection UMK21.

Same designer as last year

The stage has been designed by Ari Levelä, who was also the visual designer for Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2020.

Like with many other national selections this year, Finland’s Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu won’t have any audience.

Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2021

The tenth edition of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu will take place on February 20 at 20:00 CET. Seven artists will compete and the Finnish public together with international juries will choose Finland’s representative for Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The televote will have more power this year than previously. Juries will only give out 25 percent of the points.

The seven contestants who are taking part are Ilta, Laura, Oskr, Teflon Brothers x Pandora, Aksel, Danny and Blind Channel. Mikko Silvennoinen will serve as the commentator of the show, while the host will be revealed in February.

You can listen to the competing entries at this year’s Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu by following our Spotify playlist.

I started watching Eurovision back in 2006, when I was only 10 and couldn't stay up to see Lordi winning. I attended my first contest in 2013 in Malmö. I'm studying journalism and I love music — you will probably never see me without my headphones on.
