Three months after their triumphant participation at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, Blind Channel are back with a brand new single! “Balboa” is a continuation of their ‘violent pop’ sound, combining nu-metal production with pop melodies. The official music video is due to premiere later today.
Fans of “Dark Side” will be delighted to discover that the band have yet to find the light; on “Balboa” they are as intense as ever. Composed, produced and written by the band, they had the following to say about the song:
Balboa is a reminder of who we are – who we have always been. It’s a violent pop showoff about getting back up again and again, no matter how hard you’ve been hit. It’s us sticking to our vision without compromise. Underdogs are a dangerous species. This is a call to arms to every hardworking dreamer out there, and the soundtrack of our career so far. We keep coming back.Blind Channel on “Balboa”

About Blind Channel
Blind Channel is a post-hardcore band from Oulu, Finland. They define their sound as “violent pop.” They won UMK back in February with a landslide 54% of the televote in a field of seven contestants. Their victory was watched by a record-breaking audience for the selection.
They went on to represent Finland at Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam, and achieve one of Finland’s best results in their contest history. They finished 6th in the grand final, with 301 points, their first top 10 placing at Eurovision since 2006, when Lordi won.
In light of their success, their home city Oulu opened a scholarship fund in the name of the band to promote local music culture. Post-contest, the city went on to organise an open-air celebration in tribute to the band. The band are currently performing in a series of festival appearances.
