CyBC is yet to announce its representative for Eurovision 2022

While Greece’s ERT eventually opted for Amanda Georgiadis, Cyprus’ CyBC is get to confirm their representative. Rising Greek-American popstar Evangelia has confirmed this week that she is still awaiting a decision from the Cypriot broadcaster.

Back in October, multiple outlets had reported that Evangelia had submitted three songs to CyBC to be intention to represent Cyprus at Eurovision 2022. She had previously met with Panik Records, the label behind recent Eurovision stars Eleni Foureira and Elena Tsagrinou.

In a previous Instagram Q&A, Evangelia described the songs as similar to her past singles such as “Pame Pame” and “Fotiá”, containing both Greek and English lyrics with Greek folk elements.
