This definitely is a great throwback to the bops of the early 2000s and that’s why I absolutely love it. It’s just three minutes of good time, it has nothing too much or nothing too little. The progression of the song is just perfect, with the slow intro, the explosive chorus and then the keychange to top it all off. I know it’s not the most innovative song or the winner of Eurovision 2022, but it makes me happy and that really is what Eurovision should be all about.

God bless the little island that could. This makes me feel all the fire and hafna love for one of my favourite trashy havens of bangers! I have missed MESC so much, because only Malta gives me this nostalgia for the dance anthems that got me interested in music as a child. Of all the lyric videos in this selection, it’s ‘into The FIre’ that makes me happy and want to party. Mainly due to Nicole being the only one that actually looks like she is having fun raving to her own song. Someone please inject those rave beats and that key change into my veins immediately! This would easily be my new favourite of 2022 if selected.
