Lissandro will represent France at Junior Eurovision 2022

His entry, "Oh Maman!", is available to stream now!

Earlier this week, France Télévisions announced that Lissandro will represent France with his song “Oh Maman!” at Junior Eurovision in Yerevan this year.

13-year-old Lissandro is from the Eastern village of Moselle. He is professional cartoon dubber and can sing in 5 languages. His musical inspirations include Elvis Presley and Bruno Mars. 

I am very proud and honoured to represent France with my song, from both the pop and rock universe at the same time that I have always loved!

And what a pride to be part of the wonderful Eurovision family. I will give my best to make France’s colours shine.

Junior Eurovision 2022

The 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on December 11th in the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan, Armenia. This is the second time that Yerevan is hosting the contest, after previously having this honour in 2011. A total of 16 countries will ‘Spin The Magic’ later this year. Take a look at the participating countries below.

France at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

France debuted at the Junior contest in 2004, only to withdraw the following year. 14 years later, they made a surprise return to the contest in 2018. From a total of five participations to date, France has won the contest one occassion – in 2020 with Valentina’s “J’imagine”.

Since their return, they have only placed in the top 5. Last year, Enzo placed third on home soil with “Tic Tac”, gaining 187 points.
