Moments ago, RTVE has revealed their representative for this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Soleá is the third Junior Eurovision participant confirmed for 2020 after Susan from Germany and Oleksandr Balabanov from Ukraine. With the confirmation of Soleá as their representative, RTVE has confirmed that they are already working on their entry. Ukraine’s national selection for the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest has now concluded. With the votes now in, it was revealed that Oleksandr Balabanov will represent Ukraine at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘Vidkryvai (Open)‘. Oleksandr won majority of votes Upon the announcement of his win, UA:PBC has also revealed the results of the national selection: Alina Pash, Taras Topolya, Ruslana Khazipova, Dmytro Shurov and Tim Miroshnychenko voted for Oleksandr Balabanov;Jamala voted for Yaroslav Politov;Lyubov Morozova and Larysa Klyuyevska voted for Olena Usenko;Daniela Shapochnikova won the online voting. All the JESC 2020 participating countries announced

13 countries will ‘Move the World’ at Junior Eurovision 2020! As the EBU states, young representatives of 13 countries will take part in the 18th Junior Eurovision Song Contest on 29 November. 🇦🇲 Armenia will take part in Junior Eurovision 2020 and Eurovision 2021

Armenian broadcaster ARMTV has announced that it will take part in the two upcoming Eurovision events – the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw and the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. They are the 14th country to confirm their participation at Junior Eurovision, while they join 29 other countries in announcing their intention to take part in Eurovision 2021. The news was announced as part of the broadcaster’s new season of programming. As we are getting closer to The Netherlands selecting their Junior Eurovision 2020 representative, NPO Zapp has revealed further information as to who will be helping to select their 2020 Junior Eurovision representative. Other jury members also revealed Joining reigning Eurovision champion Duncan Laurence is Emma Heesters (who has previously expressed her interest in representing The Netherlands at Eurovision). Rounding off the Professional Jury is Dutch Hip-Hop artists Ronnie Flex, who has managed to score two Number 1 albums in The Netherlands. In addition, the members of the Children’s Jury has also been revealed. Germany was the first to choose their entry for the Junior Eurovision! Susan becomes the first ever Germany representative as she has won the national selection show “KiKA LIVE: Junior Eurovision Song Contest – Das Casting”. The 13-year old is going to perform her song “Stronger With You” in Warsaw. Susan is beyond happy to represent Germany at the Junior Eurovision. According to her, it has always been her dream to participate in the Eurovision and she hopes to make her country proud with her upcoming performance. To mark the journey of the German entry, ZDF is going to produce a 2-part documentary “Your Song for Warsaw” to show the way from the song’s composition process by Levent Geiger to the final show winner performance. Over the past several weeks UA:PBC the public broadcaster of Ukraine have started to reveal their acts in contention for Ukraine Junior Eurovision 2020 selection. Now they have revealed the complete line-up of the eleven artists taking part in the online National Final, ahead of November’s contest in Warsaw. UA:PBC confirm 11 artists for UA JESC 2020 Overall UA:PBC received submissions from 105 enthusiastic children, including solo singers and bands. Of these 70 were deemed to be eligible. Now the jury have managed to whittle down the selection to just eleven for the online National Final. Polish broadcaster TVP has revealed during the presentation of the channel’s new autumn content that the winner of this year’s Szansa na Sukces – Eurowizja Junior will be given the right to perform at the Opole Festival in 2021, if the Junior Eurovision Song Contest were to be cancelled. The broadcaster also revealed the themes for the show’s heats, which will each feature a panel of three jurors including past Eurovision stars Edyta Górniak and Cleo. TVP first used the ‘Szansa na Sukces’ format to select their Junior Eurovision act last year. An inter-generational worldwide fairytale! Just like this year’s adult version of Szansa na Sukces (which was used to select Poland’s act for Eurovision 2020), each show will be based around a theme. 🇫🇮 Finland will not debut at the 2020 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

As we are getting closer to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, we will soon find out who will be participating at this year’s contest, which is due to take place in Warsaw. However, another country has confirmed they will not be participating at this year’s contest. Finland’s broadcaster YLE has confirmed to Eurofestivales that they will not be making a debut to the contest in 2020. YLE has not explained their non-participation in Junior Eurovision Song Contest. However, the broadcaster has previously mentioned that ‘Yle has a strong principle of not putting children in an adult contest‘ Junior Eurovision 2020 – what we know so far Junior Eurovision 2020 is to be held on November 29 in the Polish capital of Warsaw. The slogan for the show is ‘Move The World’. Following Viki Gabor’s victory on home soil in 2019, this will mark TVP’s second consecutive time hosting.  Note, unlike previous years, the show is due to be held in a TV studio, rather than an arena.
