Rehearsal review

Firstly, remind yourselves what happened in the first rehearsal:

And now here is what we’ve noticed in today’s second rehearsal:

We don’t see a great deal of changes in Tornike Kipiani and his performance. He is still wearing the white shirt, with his sleeves rolled up, and simple dark jeans. There are some different camera angles here, which have been fixed after the first rehearsal. An example is the white box that appears: On Tuesday, we saw the stage hands rolling it on stage. Today we don’t. For the first run, we do see the stage hands taking the way.

There are some light issues for the second verse, where the words to the song are projected on Tornike. The spotlight is on for a little too long, which causes the words to be a little invisible for a while. There are some minor tweaks that they need to make for their final rehearsals, but they are easy fixes.

Tornike Kipiani delivers the song with ease vocally, but there’s a question whether he’s bringing the message across at this stage. He’s not giving it his all, which isn’t necessary for a rehearsal, but he chooses different ways to deliver it: from a pleading moment to anger to passion… For Thursday, he’ll need to choose which way to go with this.
