About Måneskin

Måneskin is a 4-piece rock band hailing from Rome, consisting of vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi, and drummer Ethan Torchio. The band met in high school and made their breakthrough after coming second in the Italian X Factor back in 2017.

In March they won Festival di Sanremo with an impressive 53.5% of the vote in the superfinal, beating out still competition from two former Italian Eurovision representatives Francesca Michelin (2016) and Ermal Meta (2018). Following their win, “Zitti e buoni” has found success both domestically and across Europe.

Last month, Måneskin won the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 for Italy. The band won the contest in Rotterdam with a grand total of 524 points. Fellow Big Five member France finished as runners-up, with Barbara Pravi collecting 499 points. It is Italy’s first victory in 31 years, with their last victory dating back to Toto Cutugno in 1990. In a decisive victory, the band scored top three in Eurovision televoting with over 65% of the countries.
