Katarina Savić releases Junior Eurovision entry “Svet bez granica”

“Svet bez granica” translates to "world without borders".

Back in October, RTS selected 12-year-old Katarina Savić to represent Serbia at the 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This week, her entry “Svet bez granica” was released.

Katarina will perform “Svet bez granica” (World without borders) in Yerevan. The song was written and composed by Ivana Dragićević.

Katarina was selected to represent Serbia following an open call for entries by RTS. A panel of music editors then reviewed the submissions and selected Katarina as their chosen representative.

Katarina is 12 years old and enjoys singing, ballet and playing trombone.

Junior Eurovision 2022

The 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on December 11th in the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan, Armenia. This is the second time that Yerevan is hosting the contest, after previously having this honour in 2011. A total of 16 countries will ‘Spin The Magic’ later this year. Serbia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Back in 2006 the Balkan nation made their Junior Eurovision debut in Bucharest with Neustrašivi učitelji stranih jezika and the song, ‘Učimo strane jezike‘. Starting strongly, they finished in 5th place with 81 points. Since then Serbia have participated a total of 14 times. Their best results came in 2007 and 2010, finishing in 3rd place on both occasions with, ‘Piši mi‘ and ‘Čarobna noć‘.

Last year Serbia selected Jovana and Dunja with, ‘Oči Deteta (Children’s Eyes)’ for the Paris final. During the contest they placed 13th overall with 86 points.
