Latvian broadcaster LTV has just revealed the lineup for their national selection for Eurovision 2025. 20 entries will compete to go to Basel next May, with a few familiar faces.
These 20 were selected from a pool of 96 submissions, and revealed on Latvian TV after the “Morning Panorama” show. They will first compete in a semi-final, on February 1, from which ten finalists will qualify to the final, held one week later, on February 8..

Song titles with hyperlink will lead you to the first few songs that have been released. The “official” reveal will take place on December 4th.
This edition of Supernova marks the return of Markus Riva, who has taken part in every edition of Supernova (which started in 2015) until 2023, and in the 2014 selection Dziesma, finishing second in 2015 and 2019. After not being selected last year, he’s back for his 10th attempt!
Among the returnees are also two former Supernova winners:
- Citi Zeni, who won Supernova in 2022, and went to Turin with their vegan anthem “Eat your salad”, — despite the legendary first lines of their song (or perhaps because of it?), they did not reach the final
- and Justs (Justs Sirmais), who won Supernova in 2016 and reached the final in Stockholm with “Heartbeat”, taking the 15th place, — he also hosted Supernova in 2018, and competed again back in 2023, but stayed in the semi-final, with the song “Strangers”
Last year, Dons won Supernova with “Hollow”, and managed to reach the Eurovision final in Malmö, breaking a Latvian non-qualification streak that had started in 2017. On the Saturday night, he performed right after Ireland’s Bambie Thug, and finished in 16th place.
