Amaia releases debut album ‘Pero No Pasa Nada’

In 2018, she represented Spain with Alfred at the Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon. They did that with the romantic duet ‘Tu Cancion’. Earlier that year, she also won the major Spanish music competition Operación Triunfo. Those interested in more music from the young Spanish artist could listen to her album ‘Pero No Pasa Nada’ since Friday 20 September. A young talented woman Amaia may be barely 20 years old, but in her debut album she turns out to be a real artist. Although the album is called ‘Pero No Pasa Nada’, which means ‘But Nothing Happens’, Amaia included a variation of different sounds. So, the album is full of her own rhythms, who range from slow ballads, to acoustic songs, to songs with a little more zest. In other words, Amaia can clearly handle many genres. She announced her album on her instagram page and told that she was very excited about it and that she’s really proud of the result. KEiiNO releases their new single ‘Vill Ha Dig’

After releasing their single ‘Praying’ after participating in the Eurovision Song Contest earlier this year’s Norwegian supergroup KEiiNO has released their latest single Vill Ha Dig. The single is a cover of Freestyle’s song, which was released in 1980. Vill Ha Dig, which translates to “I Want You” is a hit in the Scandinavian countries, and has also managed highly when it was released. This is not the first time that the hit song was covered by a Eurovision artist. 2012 Eurovision winner Loreen covered the song when she participated in Swedish Idol in 2004. The original version by Freestyle is mostly synthpop and disco based, as opposed to KEiiNO’s version, which still has the pop element, but makes use of electronic music. Combine this with Tom and Alexandra’s harmonies and energetic take on the track, you are sure to bop along. French Eurovision Song Contest 2019 participant Bilal Hassani has released the music video for his latest single ‘Je Danse Encore’ (I Dance Again) A more personal close-up look of Bilal and his mother The video centers around Bilal surprising his mother with a first listen of ‘Je Danse Encore’, Bilal’s friends also helped make this come to fruition and took his mother to a secret location, wearing a blindfold. When the blindfold was taken from her eyes, his mother seemed surprised and starts getting teary-eyed. From this point onwards, Bilal sings the song in front of his mother, with the addition of clips of when Bilal was younger. Whether this was taken on holidays or during a birthday, the strong bond between Bilal and his mother is sure to touch the people who watch it. Aminata & Tautumeitas release new single “Dzīvot Citādāk”

Aminata is back! With the help of folk group Tautumeitas, the Latvian Eurovision 2015 representative has released a new single titled “Dzīvot Citādāk” (“Live Differently”). Killing softness with fragility “Dzīvot Citādāk” brings in different styled elements from both Aminata and Tautumeitas. While Aminata starts the song with a rather contemporary feel to it, Tautumeitas eventually join in with their signature folk vibe. Written and composed by Aminata alongside Jānis Šipkēvics, the Eurovision 2015 contestant spoke about what inspired her to write the song. Creating such a song was inspired by the stories of the women around me. It’s about my mother, grandmother, aunts, girlfriends. They’ve gone through some unimaginable difficulties, but they all have the ability to stand up, fall and go further with a smile on their face.” It’s clear that “Dzīvot Citādāk” represents an admiration for women who seem to have their own back in life, and who are supporting themselves regardless of the tough situations they appear in.
