Melodifestivalen 2020 winners The Mamas keep going up, as they release their new single ‘Touch The Sky’. The trio’s latest release is their second single after winning the Swedish national selection. The Mamas’s latest single was co-written by its member Ash Haynes, along with Jonas Thander and was produced by Sweden’s Eurovision 2013 representative Robin Stjernberg. About ‘Touch The Sky’ Upon the release of their latest track, The Mamas revealed more about the track, and its message. ”Touch The Sky” is about always believing in yourself and reaching for all of your dreams and aspirations! Verka Serduchka, who’s real name is Andriy Mykhailovych Danylko, has been very busy since her second place in Eurovision 2007. She has become an icon amongst Eurovision fans and has released many songs since then. Now, she is back to bless fans with 4 new songs! For the fans Verka has said that this EP is for the fans, who “have given us so much warmth and support all these years.” She says that everyone should keep smiling and dancing, despite the current situation. Most song titles speak for themselves. “Swedish Lullaby”, the first track, is an ode to Sweden, but more importantly an ode to self-love and confidence. “Sexy” is all about having fun and feeling good while you are dancing at a party. “Disco Kicks” is not only an 80s throwback, but also a song that celebrates all gender identities, and that hopes everyone can walk the street safely, whatever their identity is. 🇦🇹 WURST releases new single ‘Lovemachine’

WURST, formerly known as Conchita Wurst, has released his new single ‘Lovemachine’, a cover of a 1970s Austrian disco hit by Supermax. He also features singer Lou Asril on the track. Released in 1977, ‘Lovemachine’ by Supermax is a seven minute long disco epic. It has been reinvented for the modern day by the collaboration of WURST and singer Lou Asril. Now just over three minutes, WURST’s ‘Lovemachine’ has modern electronic influences and a great melding of the two singers’ different voices. Tom Neuwirth is the artist behind Conchita Wurst, the winning artist for Austria in Eurovision 2014 with ‘Rise Like A Phoenix’. He is now branding himself as WURST. While the Conchita name is still on his credits, he has retired the iconic bearded woman character for the time being. 🇵🇱 Margaret releases new single ‘Roadster’

Following a brief break from music at the end of last year, Margaret has come back with a vengeance, more sure of herself and her sound than ever. Since her comeback she has released a string of new singles via her own label, Gaja Hornby Records. Her latest single is ‘Roadster’, a collaboration with rapper Kizo. Polish pop icon Margaret has had a varied and occasionally turbulent career over the past few years. She has participated in three national finals for Eurovision (in two countries), released four albums, been a mentor on The Voice of Poland, started a label imprint and even raised 20,000 zł for Cancer charity Rak’n’Roll Foundation. Now, she has released the latest in a string of singles, Roaster, featuring Polish rapper Kizo. The single is part of a continued departure from her bubblegum pop roots. Eurovision alumni feature in the credits of new Steps album “What the Future Holds”

Pop music fans were delighted this week when British pop group Steps announced the release of their sixth studio album “What the Future Holds” as well as the lead single of the same name. With the songwriting and production credits leaking on Twitter, several of which have been officially confirmed by Musicweek, we see a number of names from the Eurovision family involved! From Swedish stars… Most notably, 2013 Swedish Eurovision representative Robin Stjernberg is reported to be involved in the penultimate track on the album “Hold My Heart”. The track is also co-written with Isa Molin, who wrote Lisa Ajax’s Melodifestivalen 2019 entry “Torn”. Another eye-catching name is Thomas G:son, who won the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest as composer of Loreen’s “Euphoria”. Now a significant name in the Eurovision world, he has also composed Eurovision hits such as “Invincible” for Carola, “In a Moment Like This” for Chanée & N’evergreen, “Alter Ego” for Minus One, “The Best in Me” for Tom Leeb and “Warrior” for Nina Sublatti. Eurovision 2017 participants NAVIBAND have recently returned with a powerful new single titled “Devochka v belom” (Girls in white), which is sung solely by member Ksenia Zhuk. The message behind the song As explained by @naviband.sweden on Instagram, “Devochka v belom” is about the young girls and women who are currently protesting in Belarus. They are protesting against the recent elections that have took place, as well as state-sanctioned police and military violence. At these protests, female protesters dress up in white and form peaceful “solidarity chains” while holding flowers.
