A golden Summer Earlier this week Lesley Roy teased the release of new single ‘Gold’. Now the song co-written by Lesley and producers, Alberto Beeck and Ricky Mears in LA is here! The angsty rock chick from ‘Story of My Life’ has been shed for a laid back EDM laced bop. This is that anthem for those feeling the golden Summer vibes and familiar with Lesley’s DJ work. The fresh cocktail and lightness needed in these dark times. From the first bars of warmth when the piano melody starts, to the beat drop that makes you wish for the return of beachside pool bars. This is all wrapped in the soothing waves of Lesley’s vocal as she evokes the Japanese art of Kintsugi. This is the metaphor of healing a broken heart and relationship with ‘Gold.’ So let me fix the pieces,Let me stop the bleeding,I know your heart is broken, broken, broken,So let me fill it up with gold.
