🇷🇸 Further details revealed about ‘Heartbeat’

The team behind the song have many previous connections to the contest

Last week he was announced as the Serbian representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020, making him the first male artist to represent the nation since their 2006 debut. And now, more details about Petar Aničić‘s song ‘Heartbeat’ have been released.

The Serbian broadcaster RTS has given further details about the song, including the songwriters and composers. The songwriters are Leontina Vukomanović and Petar Aničić himself, while the arrangement is by Vladimir Graić and Nemanja Filipović.

Contest veterans

Songwriter Leontina Vukomanović wrote the 2004 entry for Serbia & Montenegro ‘Lane Moje’ which finished in 2nd place. She has also had a hand with the Serbian Junior Eurovision entries in 2015, 2016 and 2019.

Vladimir Graić was the composer and songwriter for the winning Serbian entry at Eurovision 2007, ‘Molitva’. In addition, he was involved with the 2012 Slovenian entry ‘Verjamen’ and the 2015 Serbian entry ‘Beauty Never Lies’. In the Junior Eurovision, he played a part in the 2015 entry for Montenegro and the 2016 entry for Serbia. All in all, he is no stranger to the world of Eurovision!

Serbia’s Junior Eurovision history

Serbia made it’s official debut in the 2006 edition of the contest, however the nation had previously taken part as ‘Serbia and Montenegro’ in 2005. Their most successful result came in their original run of participation from 2006-2010, this was third place in both 2007 and 2010. Their representative in 2007, Nevena Božović, was the first artist to cross over from the junior edition to the adult edition when she represented Serbia in 2013 as part of ‘Moje 3’.

Serbia returned in 2014 after withdrawing for three years due to financial difficulty. Since then they have participated in every contest, most recently coming 10th in the 2019 contest with Darija Vračević’s ‘Podigni Glas’. 2020 will mark their twelfth entry at the contest.
