I’ve been a fan of Dotter’s for a very long time. I was excited when she débuted at the contest with “Cry”, and I still feel this was a a total robbery. “Bulletproof” really took Dotter’s music onto another level, and we could hear how her sound had developed. Then came “Little Tot”. Without a doubt, this song is the best song from her entire discography and it is beautifully staged, perfectly sang and really engages the viewer at home. If this wins this weekend, I would suggest Sweden have a great chance at competing for the Eurovision trophy in Rotterdam.

Dotter’s music has developed a lot over the years and certainly reached a high with ‘Bulletproof. That song was one of my most played of 2020. Seeing the title ‘Little Tot’ when it was announced I had no idea how she could top ‘Bulletproof’, but here we are. ‘Little Tot’ is every bit as addictive in the chorus and is sung & staged perfectly without trying too much. This is Sweden’s best choice if it wants to be competitive at Eurovision.

As I have previously mentioned, I did not think Dotter could do any better than “Bulletproof”, yet here we are. Little Tot shows how much progression Dotter has made since she first participated in Melodifestivalen in 2018. Her performance shows how much she has grown as an artist, and how comfortable she’s become as a performer. No matter what result she gets this weekend, I am so happy that she returned this year, and I can’t wait for more new music to come.

I’m just always amazed at her creative ability. After “Bulletproof” I was not so sure, how she can come back to the contest one year later and trying to top this, but she delivers another flawless performance with a maybe even better song. Absolute love her performance and how she delivers. Last year pushed her up to be one of the biggest Swedish names and this year she came back manifesting it. She is one of those artists I got to know through Melfest and I already know I will follow the whole career. Very happy that she decided to come back this year with “Little Tot”!
Aline (12pts)
Little Tot grabs my attention immediately when I hear it on my playlist. I love this song because it develops more and more energy as the song continues. Every part of the song sounds different, yet they create a fabulous total package. The change in rhythm in the second chorus creates such a good vibe and makes me want to sing along and just enjoy the song to the fullest.
As I experience often in Eurovision and Melodifestivalen, I prefer the live version above the studio version. Dotter turns Little Tot into a true masterpiece in stage with her on point outfit, unique voice sound and unique vibe. This is what I am looking for in a real strong Swedish entry: radio friendly pop song + strong message + powerful staging. Dotter had this package for me and she is ready to do big things in Europe. I wish her all the best!
Tom R (12pts)
Dotter has truly excelled this year. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Bulletproof last year, but Little Tot is sheer perfection. The song is so memorable, probably one of the most memorable songs of the season. It has so much staging potential and I really think this would stand out in the middle of a banger and ballad-heavy final. This is Sweden’s only chance of a Eurovision winner this year – it’s clear, Dotter has to win the Swedish ticket for Rotterdam. No competition.
