The verses are decent, but it’s the chorus that makes this what I’m looking for. Lyrically there isn’t a whole lot to enjoy here, but it’s a perfectly capable entry. In Denmark’s national final, that’s pretty much what we can hope for at the moment. Perfectly capable, decent enough. Denmark, this may be your best bet!

This could easily be from Steps’ album and is something I could see on the Eurovision stage as well. I can see the televoters getting behind this, but it could probably have some struggle to qualify. However, it is one of Denmark’s best options in this year’s selection and hopefully they come up with a good staging to also take the song to a next level. And if I could choose, I would change it to the Pellegrini remix at Eurovision.

Denmark has really surprised me this year! Several from this selection would be challenging my top 10 overall, which is a rare achievement. Yes, this could well fit onto any Alcazar or Steps CD with the nostalgic 90s melody. However it’s that subtle house music production in the chorus that brings this into the present. As well as the Zara Larsson inspired vocals from the lead female singer. There’s enough elements holding this song together for Denmark to make up for the NQ last year.
