XTRA Decides continues this Eurovision 2022 season. In this feature the team here at ESCXTRA rank the national final songs, giving our choice of the winner. Costa (12pts)
This was probably, all in all, my favourite song of the national final season, and the unprecedented streaming success of this song domestically is a testament to its potential and how much of a breath of fresh air it is. The fragile, etherial, summer-y reverb-soaked production captivates me every time I listen to it. Funnily enough, the last time a FdC song had this level of traction was Telemoveis…which incidentally was my favourite entry of 2019 until the bitter and unjust end. Let’s hope Maro can go the distance!
